Saba is the sweety, syrupy reduction of Trebbiano & Lambrusco grapes.  the flavor has a raisiny sweetness with a hint of mollasses. 
 
This unique and versatile ingredient is excellent in dressings, as a glaze over vegetables or meats, and of course as a sauce drizzled over desserts (the way we prefer it here at Spindler's).
